Earn Money From Home Being a Virtual Assistant:

As bloggers become more successful.. many of them are looking to hire a virtual assistant. Once a higher level of success has been attained.. there are often not enough hours in the day to do all the things that being a blogger entails.

Virtual assistants handle a variety of tasks for their clients. In some cases this may include doing keyword research, content planning, writing blog posts, image creation, Pinterest pin creation, managing things such as emails, social media, advertising and much more.

The more versatile you are and the more tasks you are able to handle for someone.. the more in demand you will be.. and the more you will be paid.

Beginning virtual assistants normally start out making $10 – $20 per hour. If you wind up doing a few jobs for someone who really likes your work.. you can often get hired full-time by one blogger rather than doing jobs here and there for various clients.

If being a Virtual Assistant is something you would like to learn more about.. Gina Horkey has a very comprehensive training course. You can find more information at Gina’s site: FullyBookedVA.com

If you are already knowledgeable about the services offered by a Virtual Assistant you can register with the following sites to get started:

Sell on Amazon:

Amazon is the absolute BEST place for sellers to start a business online. Especially if you want to get your items in front of all 148 million Amazon Prime shoppers!

The world’s largest online retailer, Amazon, has produced quite a few millionaires. There are currently more than 9 million people, who are making money from home selling products on Amazon. Selling on Amazon has become one of the most popular online jobs to pursue as a side hustle.

Jessica Larrew, of The Selling Family, explains how selling on Amazon may be a something you want to look into. In the first year her family started their Amazon FBA business they made over $100,000 profit. The most amazing part is.. they accomplished this putting in less than 20 hours per week on their Amazon business.

Jessica has a course called Amazon Boot Camp. Her course teaches you everything you need to know to start a profitable online business, selling on Amazon. If this sounds like something you may be interested in.. I highly recommend Jessica’s class.

Sell on Your Own Shopify Store:

Print on Demand stores are doing very well also.  You can start an online store on Shopify and sell coffee mugs, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and just about anything you can think of.

You create your designs using a site like Canva.  Then sign up with a print on demand supplier like Printify and upload your designs. Place your designs onto the mock-ups of coffee mugs, t-shirts, sweatshirts etc. and upload the mock-ups to your store.

Printify integrates with Shopify making it possible to upload everything from within Printify directly to your Shopify store.

When orders come in to your store.. the customer is charged via your Shopify merchant account. Once payment has been completed.. the customer’s order is automatically sent to Printify.  Printify creates the product as ordered and ships it to your customer.  It doesn’t get any easier than that! 😊

Sell on eBay:

You can keep an eye out for bargains on eBay or other marketplaces.. or even bargains from local stores.  If you can buy low enough.. you can turn around and sell higher and pocket the difference.

My daughter was able to pick up some name brand, long sleeve thermal shirts for $5 each.  She drove around to 8 more stores within several miles of our home and bought up all the remaining shirts at each of the stores. She had 109 shirts in all.. in grey, white, black and red.

It was actually in the spring when she found them at the phenomenal close-out price of $5 each. She waited for the cooler fall weather and was then able to sell them for $23 each.

You could also sell your Print on Demand products on eBay.  In this case.. you would have the extra step of placing the orders manually from Printify as there is no integration with eBay.

Sell on Etsy:

Are you a craft person? Do you amaze your friends with all the wonderful things you create?  If you were to start an Etsy store.. you could sell some of your creations and earn money.

Printables are very popular right now.  If you are not sure what printables are or how to create them.. there are some inexpensive courses teaching you how to use sites like Canva to create all sorts of things you can sell on Etsy.

The nice thing about creating printables is that since they are downloadable you create them once.. and you are able to sell them over and over again to numerous buyers.

To get started with Printables.. check out the following courses:

Make Money From Home Selling Your Photos:

Do you take some photos that are pretty darn good.. if you do say so yourself?  Have you ever thought of putting those photos on tote bags, phone cases, laptop sleeves, covers and skins, mouse pads, calendars and much more?

You might want to sell these items on your own store.. or sell them on places like Etsy and Red Bubble.

If you choose to sell them on Etsy.. you could use Printify as your Print on Demand supplier. Etsy actually integrates with Printify which makes the fulfillment completely hands off.

When you sell on Red Bubble.. they do their own printing and shipping, which means all you have to do is upload your designs, set your prices, and they’ll take it from there.

You might also choose to just sell the photos themselves.. allowing people to download and print them out and frame them. Be sure to note in the listing that the photo has been taken by you personally and is therefore your own property and that you own the Copyright.

Sell Baked Goods:

If you are one who likes to bake.. this is something you could enjoy doing.. and make some additional money at the same time.

We have a local lady who bakes beautiful and delicious cakes, cookies, fudge, brownies, and all kinds of decadent goodies.  She has a lot of loyal customers who buy baked goods from her for holidays, parties, gifts and special occasions.

Word of mouth has also helped her to get some orders from several sports bars in the area.  They make large orders from her for their Super Bowl parties, Christmas parties, etc.

Her business has been growing so fast.. she recently put up a website where people can go and place their orders any time of day or night.  Sometimes she gets so swamped with orders she has to put a message on her site that she will not be taking any more orders until next Tuesday.. or whenever.

Flip Products:

Do you have a knack for making old things look new again?  A lot of people are picking up old, scratched up pieces of furniture at garage sales or on Facebook Marketplace, NextDoor, or wherever.

Often times they pick up some great looking pieces for only a few dollars.. or even for free! All these things need is a little TLC.. and sometimes a couple of coats of paint.

They lightly sand, fill the scratches and either paint or stain these pieces and resell them for hundreds of dollars at flea markets, swap meets, FB marketplace, and other such places.
As they say.. one person’s trash is another person’s treasure.

This is something that would really appeal to me.. something I could do in my own time.. no pressure.. no deadlines. I think this might be a fun idea if I ever decide to retire. I am really not one who could just sit around. I always have to be doing something constructive.

I think it would be a lot of fun to give new life to some batterred up old things that might otherwise wind up in the landfill.

If this sounds like something that may interest you.. there are quite a few videos on YouTube by people who are doing this. They seem to be enjoying every minute of it.. and making some extra money as well.

There is also a Facebook Group that you may want to join. The people in this group are all fans of updating furniture and making ugly pieces look beautiful again. The group is called:
All-In-One Paint by Heirloom Traditions

Discover the Artist Within:

A few years ago my friend and I signed up for a class in acrylic painting at a local craft store. My paintings were nothing to write home about.. but hers were absolutely amazing!

Later that year she did paintings for friends and relatives as Christmas presents.  Everyone managed to convince her that her paintings were actually good enough that she should start selling them.

Now she enjoys painting in her spare time. When she has 20 to 30 paintings completed she rents a space at the swap meet over the week-end and sells her paintings. She has been able to sell some of the larger ones for $150 – $200 each.

Self-Publish a Book:

Do you like to write? Do you have a lot of knowledge on a particular subject? Or.. do you have a lot of ideas swimming around in your head that you just might be able to turn into a book or two?

Self-publishing your own book has become very popular.  A lot of people are turning their knowledge and their ideas into books and selling them on Amazon.

If you have a blog based on a particular niche.. maybe you could share some information about that niche in your book. Price the book very inexpensively at say $2.99. In your book offer your readers some sort of freebie if they go to your site and sign up for your newsletter.

This helps build your email subscriber list.. and hopefully at some later date these people will purchase something from you that sells for more than $2.99.

There are many other ideas for creating and selling books on Amazon as well. Another of Jessica Larrew’s courses explains just how to get started making money on Amazon by creating low-content books. Her course has 20 step-by-step training videos, spreadsheets, templates and more.

Courses to help you get up and running quickly:

Make Money From Home with Paid Webinars:

If you are not completely sold on the idea of writing a few eBooks to sell on Amazon.. maybe you could turn that knowledge into a few webinars instead.

If you have a particular subject that you are very knowledgeable about, people will pay you to share your knowledge with them.

In preparing your presentation.. focus on ONE thing. What are the top challenges? Prepare a PowerPoint answering some of the common questions, problems and challenges associated with this particular thing.

Make sure to give your audience a decent amount of information to justify the charge for the webinar. However.. do not cover a lot of other subjects in your first webinar.. as these other subjects could each become their own paid webinar in the future.

In pricing your webinar.. ask yourself whether you would feel that the content provided is well worth the price.. if you were the one paying for this webinar.

There are a variety of places that offer webinar software to bring your customers, and students together.

A couple of my favorites as to webinar software:

Make Money From Home as a Call Center Employee:

Working from home has become more popular than ever since COVID came along to disrupt our lives.  Rather than everyone sitting in a room at a call center.. most companies will now forward their customer service calls to your home.

You can stay at home with your children and handle the customer service calls. This works best if you have a room or other space in your home where you can create a home office. That way if your dogs are barking and the kids are screaming.. clients will not hear this in the background. It is important to maintain a professional working atmosphere.

You can find Call Center jobs, Chat Agent and similar work from home phone and/or computer related jobs at the places listed below:

Rent Space to Travelers:

Do you have a guest room or other bedroom and bathroom you are not using?  You may be able to sign up with places such as AirBNB, HomeToGo, VRBO, and others.

Often times people traveling alone (especially women) feel safer staying in someone’s home rather that in a hotel room by themselves.

This is probably not something you want to do if you live alone. Most people who go through places like VRBO and the others.. are just regular, everyday, honest people. And, after all VRBO has their identification, credit card, etc. .. but it always pays to be cautious.

Earn Money From Home with Online Surveys:

There are a lot of companies who are willing to pay people to complete their surveys.

There are online survey companies who get requests from large companies.  The online survey companies hire people to take the surveys for these companies.

There are literally hundreds of these online survey companies.. but only a handful of them are actually honest and ethical places where you can earn some extra money taking surveys.

Sign up with the following companies and start taking surveys for some fast cash:

Sell Your Hair:

If you have hair that is at least 10 inches long and are considering having it cut shorter.. you may want to look into selling your hair. The longer your hair is.. the more it is worth.

They are actually very particular as to the hair they will purchase. They are not interested in hair that has been dyed or bleached. Additionally.. they will also not be interested in your hair if you are a smoker or drinker.

For more information on selling your hair check the following sites:

Again.. this is not something that is going to bring in a lot of money and certainly not something you can do that often.. but you may be able to get a few hundred extra dollars none the less.

Maybe you can use this money to get started in one of the other make money from home opportunities listed above.
